A Couple’s Baby Shower

     This week our places of work hosted a joint Couples Shower for us.  It was wonderful!   We received so many nice things for Li.  Trey and I were a little apprehensive about having a party, partly because we haven’t traveled to China yet and anything could happen between now and then.  But it was fun!
     I believe we watched a man in true agony for about 15 minutes. Once Trey realized Sandy was on one side of him and Debbie was on the other and there was no escape except to go under the table (and I believe it was blocked, too), he surrendered.  When some of the guys came in and his family arrived he seemed to relax and get in the groove of things and have fun.  Trey’s so low key, when he said later “she received so many pretty dresses” I was a little shocked.  All I could say was “you really notice that?”
     We owe a big thanks to Debbie and Randy who have been an enormous support throughout this whole process; writing letters on our behalf, stating we really have jobs, promising that we would continue to be employed and we wouldn’t be fired.  I know that was a stretch for Randy at times!  And to everyone else that helped pull off this great party; Lisa, Kellie, Regina, Shelnessa, Tonicka, LouAnn, Sandy, Karen, Monica, and Emily…Thank you!  We are two very lucky people!
