First Hug!
Li gave her first hug today! She’s been holding on to us and showing affection when held but this was the first time she’s walked over and just hugged one of us (and not asking to be picked up). Trey was making an adjustment to the bedroom door and out of the blue she walked over and hugged him! Thankfully she did it several times and I was able to catch the moment.

Nana & Pa Hassler came to visit today and they brought cousin Abby too, yeah!
All this company made Li hungry ..

Aunt Gayla sent this basket full of baby dolls for Li ..

Nana & Pa brought this deranged bunny that turns flips when you wind it up, Ya Ya!

Nana & Pa also brought this cool bunny in a squirrel cage that rolled across the floor when you wound it up but Li tossed it down the stairs and broke it. Sorry Nana & Pa.

Yes, I came home from work yesterday and found this in the bathroom:

Wondering just what in the world could have happened; I remembered I had one of these in the house now:

Li’s Dad thought he was outsmarting her by strategically placing the bathroom tissue with an underside roll. As you can see the winner in the “who is the smartest” game is……Li!

Cheat sheet ..
I was unpacking one of our bags yesterday and found what I called my ‘Cheat sheet’. The front side was my Chinese RMB (yuan) to US dollar conversions. That gave me some idea of what I was paying for something. The other side was what little Mandarin I could use. It was just enough so I could be polite without having to pass around my phrase book. I never got brave enough to try and say ‘Mineral water’ which is ‘bottled water’. One of the other husbands in our group tried to say ‘mineral water’ one evening and they brought him a pot of boiling water. I stuck to my phrase book after that. This little piece of paper went everywhere with me.
