OK, he did it again! I turned my back for one second and KABOOM! out go the lights! This time the hotel staff inspected the room to determine the cause but he’d already hidden the adapter in the luggage. I bet, if you knew how to Google it, you could track our migration across China by the unexplained power outages in hotels. I’m not sure China can survive the Hassler’s!

Feeling Better
Angie’s leg is much better today. She can walk and managed the steps a few times. We won’t be sprinting through the airport by any chance but I think the crutches can stay home.
Angie spent yesterday laundering the money. The exchange offices are very careful about the bills they accept. We were supposed to have brand new crisp 100 dollar bills but didn’t realize that the banks have to special order that. We ended up taking the best bills we could get and then ironing it. We’ll see what happens.
Erica’s Winter Formal
Erica, the daughter of our friend’s Donna and Jeff, just turned 18 in January. This month she attended a Winter Formal with her date. Cute couple and very sweet of Erica to pose barefoot! She’s just a wee bit taller than her Mom and me. She’s beautiful but really she should only be 6 years old! I’m pretty sure I remember Erica offering free babysitting services…. any time?
