Making Breakfast

January 15th, 2012

I walked out of the kitchen for one millisecond, I promise it was one millisecond or less, only to return and find Little Chef breaking eggs perfectly and stirring up breakfast!  Yikes that stove was hot!   She’s a happy little helper and cried when I told her she’s too little for cooking by herself.   Notice Little Chef now wears her pretty pink apron when whipping up her specialties.

Dreamy goodness…

Thank goodness for those two little fingers.  But like all wonderful things, being in her mouth is not a good place for fingers to be or so her dentist thinks.  As Mom, I’m all about a happy nap time so for now they’ll stay, providing comfort and sweet dreams.  We’ll worry about those dental bills another day.

Happy New Year!

December 31st, 2011

A little hot chocolate, a warm fire and of course Mary Poppins makes for a great beginning to a new year!  May your new year be “Practically Perfect in Every way”.  Happy New Year!!!

A Merry little Christmas

December 29th, 2011

Li and her Nana made a cute little gingerbread house and Li quickly figured out the bits she enjoys eating.

Christmas morning chaos…..

So what do you think happened next?  A quick press to the pedal and off we go…..straight back into the chairs!  Good thing Moosey was strapped in.

Riding up to the mailbox and from the looks of it, calling her Paw.

We forgot the camera or parts to the camera on every Christmas outing.  Maybe more pictures to come?

Flash back to…..Christmas 2010

Christmas 2009, our biggest Christmas ever!

Sweet Summertime

December 18th, 2011

We miss summer time

She’s probably being asked why she doesn’t have her “undies” on her body instead of in her hand.  Just better that way I guess.

Wear Star Wars, Share Star Wars Day

December 17th, 2011

I love this story.  Very happy.

Also, in this link is a follow up to a story aired last year about a single US mother living in Nepal with her daughter.  I’d heard the story on NPR with a few follow ups at the time but if anything was aired later about them finally coming home, I missed it.   In all the years/months of waiting, in all the time spent on travel to the country, in the entire adoption process, no one from our country told this Mom or the other families adopting in Nepal that the US government was going to stop issuing visa’s to their newly adopted children.  Anyway, here’s the rest of the story.  And it’s happy.
